Kasselman Electric and BBL Construction relied on their design-build expertise to create one of the most iconic buildings in Albany’s skyline.
Today, the 180,000 square foot building is a mixed-use, energy efficient complex featuring state-of-the-art office space and a 900-car parking garage. The building is located in the heart of downtown Albany’s business and financial district and is close to the New York State Capitol building, The Palace Theatre, and the Empire State Plaza. The building is conveniently situated close to major highways and the Amtrak train station.
Kasselman Electric’s work consisted of redundant communication, electrical distribution, lighting, lighting control, building management control (BMS), emergency generator, data center, access control, and surveillance systems. Kasselman Electric’s electrical efficiency measures resulted in a building which exceeds New York State energy code by 20%.
