Job Summary

Operated by ASM Global, the Albany Capital Center is a beautiful glass structure that can accommodate 10 to 5,000 people. Housing 22,500 square feet of ballroom/exhibit space, 6 meeting rooms with 9,200 square feet of space, and 13,500 square feet of pre-function space. The Albany Capital Center provides all of the top-notch amenities needed for your successful meeting or event.

The Albany Capital Center is directly connected to the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, The Egg Performing Arts Center, and the Times Union Center arena via an enclosed walkway. Together, these spaces create the Capital Complex, the largest meeting space in Upstate New York at more than 159,000 square feet.

Kasselman Electric’s work consisted of electrical distribution, data center, communication, wiring device, lighting, lighting control, surveillance, and access control systems.

Job Summary

This impressive historical building in downtown Albany, New York has been brought back to life and is completely renovated. The renovated space contains luxury apartments, as well as one of a kind venue; hosting special events and regular social engagements.

Designed by York and Sawyer back in 1901 as a National State Bank Building, Sixty State Street was labeled a “temple of finance”.

Exquisite old world design meets sophisticated, modern day styling and amenities at the beautiful Sixty State Place. Sixty State Place has transformed into the perfect setting for a unique event experience in downtown Albany. Multiple spaces and the ability to choose your own vendors allows the opportunity to create a truly customized event.

Kasselman Electric’s work consisted of lighting fixtures, lighting control systems, and lighting design.

Job Summary

OTB has added character and ambiance to their location by creating Clubhouse Race Book. It provides legalized horse wagering and lottery products. Improved branches and Sports Bars have been added to offer combined entertainment for sports and horse racing enthusiasts. Kasselman Electric was responsible for all electrical construction including installations of transformers, wiring devices, service panels, disconnect switches, mechanical equipment, fire alarm, door alarm, security cameras, exterior and interior lighting fixtures, data center, and relocation of emergency generator.

Retrofit Light Fixtures and Dimmer Rack Upgrades

The Palace Theater is located in the heart of downtown Albany. It first opened its
doors in October, 1931, during the Great Depression. Today, the Palace Theater
continues hosting the finest in live entertainment.

Kasselman Electric installed and updated the dimming rack system to retrofit the existing lighting fixtures and controls.

Retrofit of a Military Facility to Entertainment Venue

Job Summary

The Washington Avenue Armory was built in 1890 for the Tenth Battalion of the New York National Guard. In 2004, Albany Basketball & Sports Corporation bought the Armory, and the renovated facility opened in September 2005. Today the Armory hosts the finest live entertainment and sporting events. Kasselman Electric was responsible for the design and construction of the fire alarm system, lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and electrical upgrades to bring this historic building into the 21st Century.
